For an instant, consider that our leaders are a bunch of morons. No evil masterminds, no villains with a sinister agenda, just pure and simple dimwits, too dumb to know better. And maybe, just maybe, it all makes sense. The great Ben Domenech seems to think this is the answer to why the world has gone so wrong: sheer incompetence. I really don't know and truly suspect of foul play, but nevertheless, we should listen to his argument. It is for sure a valid alternative hypothesis to blatant infamy.
